How to setup an Advanta Hosted Email account
Advanta use various different wholesale email platform providers depending on your requirements, these instructions apply to the “Hosted Email” version of the platform. For the “Stack” variant click this link.
These instructions are for adding your new mailbox account to Outlook 2010. Different versions of Outlook are similar and if you have any trouble finding the Accounts menu just google “How to add new email account to Outlook 2013” or Outlook 2016 or Outlook 365 depending on which version you are using.
Just click on the menus in sequence as indicated by the numbered circles in these illustrations.
Be sure to Choose IMAP in this next sequence at step 3. IMAP is the cloud based email system so you can use it on multiple devices simultaneously and so you don’t have to backup your email from your computer.
Now check your Sent Items are being stored in the cloud so you can access them from all your devices.
If at step 5 you find that Outlook is not showing you a full list of folders and only has Inbox then do this
Always choose the ‘Sent’ folder in Outlook if you are also using mail on a Samsung phone, choose the ‘Sent Items’ folder if you are using it on an iPhone. For further information on setting up your mobile email click here.
